The ability to speak is one of the faculties that differentiate us from other animals. A language is a way of organizing sounds to express ideas. Human language has developed over the centuries, and that is why so many languages are spoken today, in the world there are about five thousand languages and today we will explain the advantages and disadvantages of speaking more than one language.


First of all, people who are bilingual tend to have advantages in the subsequent learning of other languages, they also have the ability to pass information from one language to another, either to gain vocabulary or to better understand the functioning of grammar, and that helps them learn easier. In addition, people who know more than one language, in the future will have an additional advantage in certain jobs, especially those with international projection.

On the other hand, being bilingual has disadvantages, such as running the risk of not reaching a satisfactory level in any of the languages and facing serious problems in the country's formal education, causing them to have pronunciation problems, grammar problems and not are accepted by society. Also being bilingual makes it difficult to express yourself, since you can confuse words between different languages and make your expression difficult.

In conclusion, for me being bilingual does not have many problems, since with the passage of time and with studies you are improving and it means that in the future you can live better or be able to travel and see the world without making it difficult.
