The subject I'm going to address today, it's "Charity work should not be needed today, people should look after themselves". In my opinion I don't feel identify with this sentence, I'm really against it. Because now a days there are thousand of people who needs help, and I think that if we had the capacity to do it, why not?

Now a day in the world that we live, there are a lot of people who really need help. Because of a natural disaster, wars, poverty, debts, etc. There are a lot of people with no money. But we, the people from the more desenvolupated place or the ones that have a stable financially, if we have the capacity to help why don't do it, even if it's a small amount of money, it's enough to make their life a little better.

Another thing is that, we have to try to be more empathic with the world that we live. Sometimes our attitude is like we live alone in this world, and that's not true, we have to be conceits on what's around us. There are persons around us in whose situations is not the best and we don't do anything for them. Doing or practicing charity is something to help us to learn about yourself, to learn to listen to the others.

For finishing, I think that we have to do anything that is in our hands to help the other in all the aspects and not just economically. So we have to try our best to be nice and kind to everyone.

Many people think that charity work should not be necessary today, people should take care of themselves, but the question is, when someone can not take care of themselves, who helps them.

Personally, I think people need help in some moments of our lives, and if one day we see ourselves in the street, we would like them to help us. In my opinion, people are happier when they help other people. They feel fulfilled by their actions and know that destiny will one day compensate them.

Futtermore, I believe that people with a good heart, should dedicate a part of their time to help others in exchange for nothing to be happier and at the same time make other people happier. For example, some volunteers, know a lot of different people and learn a lot of tings about the other people and other lifes.

All in all, people should help us more, I do not know if God exists or not, I only know that he often does not help us, so we can do it for him.

1. Opinión essay: "charity work should not be needed today, people should look after themselves". 

That phrase only represents selfishness and disregard for the environment, for the people around who are going through a bad situation.

There are many people with needs for health, rights, studies, food... whose needs can not be solved due to the bad economy of the country, for example It is clear that in situations like that, citizens will not be able to help themselves. In that part is when the people who can help give their money and trust to the NGO's, who are ir charge of distributing the aid to those who need it.

Also, I think that helping makes everyone happy, it's like a payment for doing good things, and also we learn about the value of the things, so everybody wins. In addition, if they receive what they need, in future they could also help other, like a gain. 

Un conclusion, everyone should have basic needs, but if there are people who doesn't have them, there's no need to take an excuse to go to help.

I have not really heard anyone say those words ... But the most certain thing is that if that person lived in bad conditions and his government is not able to solve the problem of his people, that person would ask for help, be that as it may, to all We like to receive help when we have a bad time and that is what we should do, help those who need it.

There are many countries like Yemen, South Sudan or Somalia where a large part of the population goes hungry, this can be solved little by little by donating money or food to organizations. For me, going hungry is the biggest crisis that can happen to a country.

Another of the things that the poorest countries also need are medicines to protect themselves from diseases. In undeveloped countries, a large part of the population is not vaccinated, and they are at great risk of contracting diseases such as malaria, Zika or Ebola (deadly diseases).

Currently the donations that people give to poor countries does not come at all, because the government of the country remains part of the money received or simply does not decide to help the population. All this is very unfair, but it is the truth and it is something that should change.

Some people think that charity work is not necessary and people should look after themselves.

Personally, I disagree, because although many people are actually dying for their current situation, they think we should look after ourselves, instead of trying to help people that are in a condition worse than the people who are saying this, so people in bad situations can't look after themselves, they need external help.

Imagine that you're in a bad situation like people who live in Venezuela; they can't look after themselves, because they have barely nothing and it's getting worse, with power cuts and waterless. So they need external help, not people that only look after themselves; people who work in Charity are necessary, because if we only look after ourselves, only because we are okay at this moment, doesn't mean other people are good.

In conclusion, charity work is very necessary, because if we only look after ourselves this world will fall very quickly.

AN OPINION ESSAY

“CHARITY WORK SHOULD NOT BE NEEDED TODAY, PEOPLE SHOULD LOOK AFTER THEMSELVES”

Charity is a system of giving money, food, or help free to those who are in need because they are ill, poor, or have no home, or any organization that has the purpose of providing money or helping in this way, something really necessary in the society in which we live, where the capitalist system and the government leave aside many people.

I stand totally against this idea, because although it is true that first you have to look for yourself, as if you are not well, for example, economically, it will be impossible to offer your help to the rest. But in general we all have a stable life, in which we don’t lack anything and even consume without sense. We should look a little more for others because if you find yourself in that situation, you would like to receive help.

I think there are many people who lack empathy and who are often blinded by their circle of "perfect life" where the problems of the third world or the poor people of your city are invisible. But just by opening your eyes a little and give it another perspective, we realize that there are many people going hungry or without basic resources to live who need a little bit of you, not much, but what you can contribute.

In my opinion, a good gesture can’t change the world, but the union of many yes.

Currently many people who think that it is no longer necessary to do charity work, that there is no need to help people because everyone has to take care of themselves and not worry about others, obviously not everyone thinks that way and I am one of those people. 
In the first place and what many people do not care is that in other countries food, clothing ... is needed and not everyone can afford it for economic reasons helping people is not always giving money You can also volunteer in a soup kitchen or donate clothes or food and with that alone you can save lives. 
Secondly in the poorest countries is where there are more diseases and wounds that can be easily infected, people to help with that some donations and others volunteer to cure them.
 I agree that we have to take care of ourselves but we can help other people who are worse because they do not.
 In conclusion people would have to help other people because when you do other than feel good about doing something good, can save lives and they appreciate it.

Nowadays charity organizations help a lot of people to survive. Without this help a lot of people would die. I’m going to explain, why, in my opinion, charity is necessary and we shouldn’t look after ourselves to avoid it.

I believe in ONG’s because they are always willing to welcome you and your support. Currently there are ONG’s for almost every single problem.  

In my opinion, this world can’t work if we all are selfish. We are a lot of people that live in the same place and we have to help each other, because every single person is different and have different conditions, so we have to survive altogether. And that means helping these people who needs more.

Therefore, I don´t agree with the title suggested for this essay. Just imagine, you need the help from others and nobody helps you or your family. How would you feel?

Nowadays, it's not uncommon to hear people say that charity work isn't needed anymore and that people should care more about about themselves, rather than poor countries, which I don't think that's right.

First of all, there are a lot of problems that are happening in poor countries like hunger, for instance, which is the most common and lethal that can be helped with donations (of money or food), which can be crucial to save someone's life.

Secondly, there are also a lot of diseases that need to be cured, wounds that are infected and need some treatment or vaccines, that are needed to maintain the people healthy (which are very expensive) and only with volunteers and donations can be adquired. It is true that people need to look after themselves, but if they can help charities either being volunteers, with food, medicines or money, they should because they could make a big impact and help a lot of people.

In conclusion, charity work it's still needed these days and, it can help a lot of people.

First of all, what is a charity job? It is a job in which you voluntarily help a person to be well or to help you with whatever you need.

Since as mentioned in the preceding paragraph, it is to help people who need it, that is, at that moment can’t be self-sufficient or do not have enough resources to do it.

I find that everyone should do it at some point in their lives if they have the opportunity to help someone who needs it or asks for it, it is a very good person and with a very good and good heart.

And lastly not everyone has the same resources to be able to rely on himself or to be able to keep his family / people who depend on him and if there is someone who can help him, then I think that this work is perfect and Everyone should put a little bit if they can.

People may think it’s not worth their time to get involved in the community of the volunteering because it doesn’t pay like a normal job would. However, there are several benefits that volunteering can give you that no other job can.  

Community service is when you work for free to help benefit the public or your community. Usually, students who choose to do community service do so as volunteers, meaning that they choose to help out because they want to do so. Community service can have a lot of positive effects on students, such as helping them to develop skills, making contacts, and allowing them to improve the quality of life of others.  

Volunteer work can range from the relatively simple, like helping coach the lacrosse team at your old junior high, to the much more complex, like starting a non-profit that helps settle new refugees in your area.

As I’m sure you can imagine, there are a lot of benefits to doing volunteer work.

Some people says that charity work should not be needed today and people should look after themselves.

From my point of view I think that’s true, not at hundred per cent. However, people is used to not move for other people who needs help or for what they want. In other words, people prefer to do what they want with the less effort as possible, for example; charity work. A lot of people prefer to donate rather than move for themselves. That may produce a satisfaction, but you don’t know where all the money goes.

In addition, some non-government organizations are private while others are public. These last ones are usually very big and If you become a member, they wouldn’t care about you unless you are an important person for the organization.

On the other and, you needn’t have to take part in an NGO to improve the world, there is a lot of people around you who needs help and is easier for you to help. Furthermore, you make sure you are helping.

In balance, we have closer problems which we can solve without the name of an entity and If you want to help in other sites, travel and do it yourself.

"Charity work should not be needed today, people should look after themselves".

Charity  work is a voluntary job that consists on helping others without getting anything in exchange and I believe that it is needed today.

From my point of view, charity work it is indispensable, because there are people who need help due to the conditions they live,  for instance, when they have a disease. Another situation when people could need help is when they are homeless. Sometimes these people feel lost and there is nobody to help them. Therefore, when you are in this situation you should be helped by others to go along. If there was not charity work, these people would be much worst and it would be much harder for them to get away from their situation.  

The need for charity should go hand in hand with the new challenges that are presented nowadays. For example, the addictions  that trap people: drugs, internet, virtual games, social networks, compulsive buying…

I would like to end with a question: what could we do through the work of charity to improve  our world?
