Nowadays, it is more common to spend money before
Christmas, specifically on Black Friday, which is a celebration that makes
discounts before the Christmas holiday. But it is a good idea for shop owners
to offer large discounts before Christmas? It is really necessary to have that
day? To my mind, the answer is clear, I think it is not necessary, but a lot of
people spend their money buying presents for Christmas on Black Friday.
First of all, in my opinion, consumers believe that it
is better to buy Christmas gifts on this day because they don't spend so much
money than a week before Christmas, when all prices grow a lot. In this case,
consumers are aware and are interested in this celebration.
On the other hand, this celebration benefits shop
owners more than consumers, considering that a few weeks before Black Friday,
many shops raise the prices of all their products, and when the day of the
discount arrives, they lower the price to the initial number, only that people
believe that it is lowered because they see the previous price already raised. In
this other case, shop owners also get interested on Black Friday.
Finally, as I mentioned before, this celebration doesn’t
seem necessary to me, but there are many people who like it and that is why it
is done. It is a form of consumerism in which many people agree to celebrate it.
